Project Type

Television Production

Date

2018-2019

Role

Story Producer

As a Story Producer on HGTV's What You Get for Your Money, I was instrumental in crafting the narrative structure of each episode. This series explores the diverse real estate landscapes across the United States by comparing what a fixed budget can purchase in different cities. My responsibilities included overseeing post-production processes, where I meticulously reviewed footage, identified compelling storylines, and collaborated with editors to create engaging and coherent episodes that highlighted the contrasts in housing markets.
In addition to post-production duties, I frequently served as a Field Producer on set. This role involved coordinating with the cast and crew during filming, ensuring that the production schedule was maintained, and that the footage captured aligned with the envisioned storyline. Balancing on-site production challenges with narrative goals required adaptability and strong communication skills.

My dual role bridged the gap between on-set production and post-production storytelling, allowing for a seamless transition from raw footage to final broadcast. This comprehensive involvement ensured that each episode authentically portrayed the unique experiences of homebuyers navigating different real estate markets.
